Nedjo Rogers

Nedjo performed his mock epic play in verse, The Trois-Rivières Tales, at the Victoria Fringe Theatre Festival with follow-up runs on Salt Spring and in Vancouver.

Rogers is the type of storyteller who manages to pull all the emotional cords necessary for a great evening of entertainment: laughter, compassion, outrage, and sorrow.

- Elizabeth Nolan, Gulf Islands Driftwood

He has put out two digital albums of original songs, My Utopia is DIY and Broken Rhymes.

Nedjo's poetry has appeared in journals Subterrain and Contemporary Verse 2 as well as in online poetry projects including the New Verse News.

He co-organized and hosted two highly successful Salt Spring Arts Council sponsored events, both part of Easter Arts Week: a tribute to Leonard Cohen (2017) and For the Birds (2019). He also co-hosts the monthly Poetry Open Mic event sponsored by the Salt Spring Island Public Library and coordinated a SSAC-funded poetry chapbook project, Blackberries: Poetry from the Open Mic (2017).
